The Weston Library needs volunteers for their Leading to Reading program. The program helps students in grades 1-6. Volunteers will work with students for an hour a week, playing games with the kids and building their reading skills.
The volunteer hours count as credit for high school students, but adults are encouraged to apply too.
To apply, stop by the library.
You will not be starting right away, as everyone must be screened by the police and this can take several months.
So look into your future to spot a free hour or 2, but fill out the application now, so you’ll be ready when the children need you.
