Albanese announces $100,000 for training program

Our MPP, Laura Albanese, announced $100,000 in funding for the Hammer Heads training program. The money will provide training in construction for 15 young people from the community.

The training is part of the Ontario government’s pre-apprenticeship training program and will help the young men and women get a head start in the industry. In her press release, she said “Hammer Heads is a leader in training and provides an opportunity for underprivileged youth to learn valuable careers. They are an important contributor to the economic development in York South-Weston. I’m pleased that they’re helping people develop the skills needed for meaningful employment.”
