Another meeting on train construction

Frances Nunziata and Laura Albanese will be hosting a community meeting about the recently-announced Metrolinx construction schedule. Their meeting will be tomorrow, April 9, at 1901 Weston Road.

Metrolinx announced last week that they will now be doing construction work on the tunnel from 7 am until 11 pm, five days a week, and until 7 pm on Saturdays. There may also be work on Sundays.

  1. The wording of this one is really telling:

“…about what this process WILL involve, what type of work they WILL be doing during the extended hours…”

I’ll be attending the meeting tonight as I back onto the tracks and it’s organized by the community, instead of Tuesday where a bunch of Metrolinx people will tell us how it’s going to be.

Why couldn’t Albanese and Nunziata just come to the one tonight???

  2. What I really love about the flyer that our tax dollars brought to our doors tonight to announce this meeting is that (along with the wording: telling use what will happen) the whole thing was bordered in black. Mourning our losses in this construction?

  3. Why do Laura and nunziata refuse to wrk with mike? This is what westonweb should investigate instead of posting garbage from these two.

  4. At the meeting tonight Mike said Albanese and Nunziata were in the dark too, and want answers as much as the rest of us. Tomorrow’s meeting will be a chance to grill the Metrolinx rep as to what is going on.
