Crash on Weston Rd: Two injured

Two pedestrians were struck by an out-of-control vehicle near Weston and King at around 1:45 yesterday afternoon. A lightpost was knocked down, and many police and paramedics responded.

CTV news says that a woman on a scooter was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, and a man was taken with minor injuries. The driver remained on scene.

Weston Road was closed in both directions for the investigation.

  1. So, how freaking fast & distracted do you have to travel through town (which in itself is almost impossible to do, given the normal volume of traffic) to knock a metal pole down, take out a person in their scooter and yet another on that now infamous site near Central United Church?

Like Roy noted in another article, one of the most dangerous things to actually do in Weston (and most other places) is to cross the street.

Heads up, and walk facing traffic.
