Two big events this week.
On September 11, Frances Nunziata’s office will be having a meeting about the social club at 2 Rosemount in the old Tae Kwon Do studio. There have been several community complaints about it, because it is very popular and many men stand out on the nearby pavement. Parking has also become difficult.
According to Nunziata’s office, the area is zoned for commercial employment and a social club would not be allowed. She is working, according to an email forwarded to me, to “put an end” to its use as a social club.
The meeting will be held at 7pm on Wednesday, September 11th, at the York West Active Living Centre (1901 Weston Road). Police and Parking Enforcement will be there.
On September 12, there will be a meeting on the noise walls that will soon be running through Weston and Mount Dennis. The meeting will be from 6–8:30 at the LEF, 1267 Weston Road
