The Carnival will be making a stop at Weston Memorial JPS on Thursday, June 9th, for the annual fair. It’ll be best night of the year.
This year, there will be pony rides for the younger students and a circus dog show in the gym, among the other attractions, like bouncy castles, competitions, and games.
The food sounds great: burgers, hot dogs, bifanas (Portuguese pork cutlet sandwiches), pizza, samosas, cotton candy and fresh popcorn. There will also be vegetarian and Halal/Kosher options too.
The raffle table will be creaking with tickets and prizes: a children’s bicycle, Toronto Zoo passes, Science Centre passes, Henry VIII restaurant and pub gift certificates, movie passes, climbing centre passes and a one-week summer camp experience at Just Bounce Trampoline.
There will be all new carnival games, too, hand made by the hardest working dad on Boyd.
If you have a child who is in grade 8 and up, who would like to receive volunteer hours, drop me a line. I’ll put you in touch. The organizers are also still looking for a few adult volunteers.
With thanks to Cristine Ramos!
