GO back tracks

GO Transit has heard you, people of Weston, and is backtracking on its plan to extend the hours of construction. In a statement issued today, they also announced plans to deal with residents’ complaints.

From now on, they say

  • Fewer trucks will be allowed on site, reducing dirt and dust
  • Better equipment will be used to wash the trucks
  • Generators will be less polluting
  • Lights will be pointed away from houses
  • Some houses will have their exteriors cleaned

  1. You didn’t post the other page where they asked us if we’d rather close more than one rail crossing at a time, or have extended ours (7-11pm) for approximately 2 months, with occasional evening hours required for the following 2 months.

    How about neither?

  2. Where did you get this info? On there website…http://www.gotransit.com/gts/en/default.aspx? Cause I go there there so much stuff there I can’t find any thing useful to see. I unfollow them on Twitter cause of the ‘so call’ ‘positive’ info they give..”We digging a hole!” stuff..They never give info on road closures there.

  3. We had one of the people from the office come by our house on Rosemount this evening asking if we wanted a free powerwashing and window cleaning of our house. We of course said yes.
