Hungry canid spotted

A reader has sent in some photos and a warning about an emaciated fox or coyote he saw in his backyard. He lives on Rosemount, near the tracks, and while your humble correspondent is not a wildlife biologist, I suspect that the animal is using the tracks as a highway and might be hungry.

Rosemount residents: bring your cats in tonight.

Thanks to Chris for the photos and tip.

  1. The tracks have long housed foxes in this area. I see many every year (at Oak/Gary tracks) and have even seen them dead after being run over.

That animal, however looks ill. Perhaps a line dropped to Wildlife control would be in order.
