A man has been arrested for an attempted murder in Weston. Nashon Simmons, 24, of Oshawa, was arrested on Wednesday.

The police allege that on May 12, he was at a bar near Jane and Lawrence at around 2:20 in the morning, and got into an argument with another patron. They say he produced a handgun, shot the victim, and fled.

The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
