The police are asking for the public’s help after a woman was sexually assaulted on the Humber River Trail on Wednesday, June 16.

The police say that a woman was walking on the trail near Weston and St Phillips at about about 5 p.m. when a man approached her and sexually assaulted her.

He is described as

white, 50-60, 6’1” to 6’2”, blonde and white hair parted in the middle, slim build, with facial hair. He was wearing dark coloured jeans, a black belt and a black shirt with a red and orange design.

That’s exactly why I don’t walk down that end it’s more secluded although they are currently building a new path to connect it with the northern end of the trail I’ve always been Leary of that section yeah straight of that section

Decent enough description – that’ll hopefully, jog some memories to assist law enforcement with their search.

Let’s hope they can zero in on this creep, sooner than later.

It’s another reminder to keep your head on a swivel wherever you go. And, to steer clear of the fringe areas anywhere you go – that helps provide shadowy figures with shadowy spots for their nasty & twisted needs.

Until then (and it’s easier said than done perhaps), but try not to live in fear and continue enjoying our wonderful natural resource, the river valley.

Heads up.
