The trial of Mark Moore, the man accused of killing four Torontonians, including two from Weston, has entered closing arguments.
Moore has been charged with first degree murder for the killings of Courthney Facey and Mike James in the fall of 2010 in an alley along Weston Road. He is also alleged to have murdered two men in Scarborough, and was convicted for a jewelry store burglary, a crime for which he is serving 12 years.
Moore was raised in Weston and Scarborough. He himself was shot here in the apartments at 1765 Weston Road, leaving his face badly disfigured. One of his brothers was alleged to have shot a police officer nearby the same building.
According to The Star, the Crown Prosecutor says that this is a largely circumstantial case. “But there are a vast number of circumstances, dozens of them which all point to Moore’s possession, sole possession… of the guns that killed all four of the men.”
