Mike Sullivan against government internet snooping

Mike Sullivan has come out against Bill C-30, the internet snooping law. The bill, which Vic Toews famously said only pedophiles oppose, would give police the ability to track you online without a warrant. Ann Cavoukian, the Privacy Commissioner of Ontario, calls it “one of  the most invasive threats to our privacy and freedom”.

All NDP MPs have signed up to oppose the bill, but not one Conservative has. The bill refuses to die: Vic Toews linked it to the arrest of Luka Magnotta this week, saying it would have helped with his arrest—even though Magnotta was arrested halfway around the world within days.
