Neighbour’s night out a huge success

The annual Neighbours’ Night out was a huge success again this year. Hundreds and hundreds of people showed up for food, entertainment, and socializing. The weather was perfect, and the music fantastic.

Many thanks to the organizers, and to Tony Serwatuk from Behind the Lenz for the photos.

  1. This should have been a fun event (and usually is) but we did not find it very fun to have wait in line 1 hr for a charred hockey puck in a hamburger bun. I had to jump they queue since our toddler had to eat as it was nearing his bedtime (which to volunteers completely understood). We will definitely eat before we come next year – unless they hire Mark from Zeal Burger like they did for the fun fair at Weston Memorial. I don’t know who thinks it’s a good idea to use charcoal when you are cooking for hundreds of people, since that’s what you do in your backyard on a weekend when you have time to spare. Propane would be a better way to go. Please pass-along the feedback if you know who to inform. Thanks!
