According to Urban Toronto, a new 15-storey 157 apartment affordable rental tower will be going up on a currently vacant lot near the intersection of Weston Road and St Phillips. The site at 2346 Weston Road overlooks the Humber River and the building will have a variety of apartment sizes ranging from 278 square foot bachelors to 719 sq. ft. 3-bedrooms. A 10-storey, 49-unit apartment was approved on the same site back in 2001 but fell through.

  1. Affordable my ass nothing is affordable these days the way the government has let these landlords run wild with rent.

    1. Exactly. What happened to diversity of all neighborhoods within the city? There should never be another low income building in Weston until there are as many in Rosedale, the Beaches, Forest Hill, etc. Crime is correlated to poverty? Then spread it around so ghettos are not created. This has been studied. Seriously, the building, development and planning departments are as corrupt as Quebec.

  2. Weston is a SH*THOLE!! I highly regret investing in it 10years ago.. Jane/Finch has moved south to Weston/Lawrence.
