Skating teachers, volunteers needed

I know it’s 14° outside. It won’t always be thus, and the Mount Dennis Community Association is looking for volunteers to help with the skating rink at Pearen Park, near Weston and Eglinton. They need volunteers to help lend out skates to people who do not have them and to teach skating to children and youth—and adults like me.

The program sounds like a blast and the best of grassroots spirit.

The lessons run every weekday, weather dependent, from 4:15 to 6, and on weekends from 10 – 2. Don’t wait, of course: the cold weather should be back by Wednesday. Email
skates@mountdennis.ca to get involved.
