The final word: Not moving

Frances Nunziata’s office says this about the market:

The move is temporary. As you know, the development on John St is being built with space for the Farmer’s Market. The Developer and Artscape have been meeting with vendors and the BIA to ensure that their needs are met in whatever the final design is.
The Farmer’s Market will be relocated during construction and will return to a vibrant space on John St once construction is ¬†completed.

  1. Your own title is misleading. THE MARKET IS MOVING.
SURE “temporarily” BUT NO DOUBT IT IS MOVING.

BUT FOR HOW LONG? EVEN THE COUNCILLOR CAN’T GIVE YOU A SOLID TIME.
“ONCE CONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETED”….WHEN IS THAT GOING TO HAPPEN?
WHEN IS CONSTRUCTION GOING TO BE COMPLETED? 2, 3, 4, 5 YEARS?

    WHEN DOES TEMPORARY BECOME PERMANENT?
MOST OF THE BUSINESS OWNERS WHO I SPOKE WITH DURING MY LAST VISIT TO WESTON WELCOME THE MARKET BEING ON JOHN STREET….LITERALLY THE STREET…..AS WAS DONE IN THE PAST DURING BIG EVENTS AS I WAS TOLD AND REMEMBER .

WHO WAS THE FOOL THAT DECIDED TO MOVE THE MARKET SOUTH OF LAWRENCE?

THE MARKET IS NOT MOVING…..IT’S NOT GOING TO BE ON ITS ORIGINAL SITE NEXT YEAR IS IT? SO THEN IT IS MOVING.

ONLY IN WESTON CAN YOU SAY A MOVE IS NOT A MOVE AND WHEN CITIZENS COMPLAIN, WE ARE THE ONES THAT LOOK LIKE FANATICS.

THE FINAL WORD? NOT ON YOUR LIFE.
