A couple of surprises in the Toronto Public Health inspection results this month: my three favourite restaurants got dinged.
Wakame Sushi passed, but had a number of warnings: they failed to protect food from contamination, failed to use a cover on the food, and failed to keep non-food contact surfaces clean. They also failed to wash rooms and equipment well. Oh boy.
Tim Horton’s on Lawrence got busted for not ensuring that employees washed their hands, not having soap for employees in the food area, not cleaning food preparation areas, and not having enough cleaning solution for the machinery. They passed, though.
Wendy’s was inspected the same day. They didn’t maintain their equipment well.
