Terry Trafford, a promising young hockey player from Weston, died last year, but dozens of people will come together this Sunday to celebrate him.
Trafford killed himself last year after he was cut from his OHL team for smoking pot. His body was discovered, after days of searching, in a Walmart parking lot.
This Sunday, a group of friends will meet at Weston Memorial, a school he attended, to celebrate Terry’s life and to raise money for charity. Last year, the same group raised more than $5000 for the Kids Help Phone.
