The Weston Historical Society has a cracking weekend planned for September 22nd and 23rd.
The Weston Road Runners (of which my wife is a part) are hosting a 5k fun run starting at the ungodly hour of 8 am.
You can bring your antiques or archaeological finds to the library (details to be confirmed), between 9 and 12 to have them identified and appraised in our own Antiques Roadshow. Three will also be seminars in the afternoon on two of the best parts of Weston: trees and stone walls.
On Sunday, a historic walk has been organized through St Philip’s cemetery, with tea to follow.
It sounds sure to be a good time, and popular, so the organizers are asking interested participants to register in advance for the activities they are interested in; your correspondent will see you after the race.
Registration is free.
