UPX still losing millions

The UPX is still losing millions of dollars, despite ridership increases, according to Metrolinx and The Star.

The ill-planned train now carries 2.76 million people annually. That’s a huge improvement over the launch year, but still nowhere near enough to make money.

Metrolinx hasn’t yet said how much they’re losing, but by my rough estimate, each rider requires about $10 in government money.  The Toronto Star says it’s worse: approaching $20 per rider.
