UrbanArts wants your kids

UrbanArts, the youth-focussed arts organization, sprinted out of the gates in the new year: they are looking for visual art submissions for a new gallery, and they are offering two visual arts portfolio courses and slam-poetry club.

The new gallery will be opening this month, so aspirants should hustle—the deadline for submissions is this Friday, January 18. BAHanu_CAAAZJsx.jpg_large

The visual arts skills-development programs are running after school every Monday and Tuesday. Monday’s classes are at UrbanArts, and Tuesday’s classes are at the Learning Enrichment Foundation’s 1267 Weston Road campus.

The Say Word?! slam poetry team will “explore spoken word writing, performance, and introduce you to the competitive and exciting world of slam poetry.” It runs every Monday, after school.
