It’s my favorite day of the year! Thousands of engaged, kind, beautiful women descended on Weston, and our town extended the warmest Weston welcome.
Today is the 10th annual Walk to End Women’s cancers. King Street was jam-packed by 10 am as walkers worked their way from Downsview to the Ricoh Centre. This weekend each walker will cover about 60 kilometers and raise at least $2000.
The walkers were delighted by our welcome–although they may have been made a little tipsy by the stand on King handing out mimosas and coffee topped with Bailey’s! Residents were out on the street playing music, giving out high fives and cheering the walkers on.
